Powersports Motorcycle / ATV / UTV Technician / Mechanic

We have an opening for a Full Time Power Sports Mechanic in the Power Sports Service department. This position requires an individual with excellent interpersonal communication skills, product knowledge, the ability to multitask, a disciplined work ethic, and a strong enthusiasm for the powersports industry.

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing and installing parts and accessories on ATV's and UTV’s

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assures ATV’s and UTV’s are repaired in a timely and accurate manner by performing the necessary diagnostics and troubleshooting, consulting with department manager when necessary.
  • Assists in repairing used and/or returned merchandise
  • Assist in loading and unloading ATV’s and UTV’s when needed.
  • Installs OE parts, aftermarket parts, and accessories
  • Maintaining a clean organized work space

Requirements

  • Hiring preference is given to those with solid mechanical knowledge and at least 2 years of experience in the power sports industry.
  • Vocational/Technical School Certificate desired

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to use good judgment and logic (Required)
  • Must have own mechanic tools (Required)
  • Mechanical ability to include skills in trouble shooting engine and performance issues.
  • Must be able to read documents, printouts, reports, computer screens and other written communication.
  • Must be able to write, type and use phone system.
  • Some welding skills are desired but not required.

Position Descriptions

CNC 2nd Shift Supervisor

 

Production Supervisor/Machinist – 2nd Shift

Experienced with running a CNC Mill, Manual Lathe and Manual Mill.  Properly and safely loads and unloads materials in CNC machinery.  Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements. Ability to setup, program, operate and troubleshoot CNC without assistance. Full-time.  Must be available to work overtime when required and be.

 

Shipping and Receiving Materials Handler

Responsible for inbound freight, accounting for product, and accurately locating product in pick locations. Must be able to perform properly inventory labeling, stocking and shelf rotation.  Able to pull parts to be shipped using inventory tickets.  Receive and unload inventory both manually or with equipment. 

 

Web Sales – Entry Level

Primarily processing online orders and responding to customer question or issues.  Help resolve billing issues, returns or product warranty.  Mandatory skills include Excel & Word, Basic Computer Skills and telephone courtesy

 

Administration

Performs general clerical duties to include but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mail distribution and filing. Coordinates and maintains records for staff office space, phones, company credit cards and office keys. Creates and modifies various documents using Microsoft Office.

 

Customer Service

Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges. Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, mail, or social media. Use telephones to reach out to customers and verify account information. Greet customers warmly and ascertain problem or reason for calling.  Mandatory skills include Excel & Word, Basic Computer Skills and telephone courtesy

 

Sales

Duties include assisting customers with orders, product & communicating new product opportunities.  Prior sales & customer service experience; a positive attitude and willingness to learn; and a knowledge of the motor sports industry and products.  Sales positions are commissioned based with a guaranteed base income.

 

Warehouse Staff

Pull materials based on work order picking sheet and bin locations. Build packing boxes. Perform final quality control checks as needed (checking a certain percentage of finished goods for accuracy based on weight checks and Bill of Materials comparison). Perform final sealing and labeling process on finished good boxes and load them on a skid or cart so they can be shelved by material handlers.

Welders

Mig, Tig welders. Must be able to read and interpret general machining blueprints Able to do steel fabrication work such as sawing, torch cutting, layout work, drilling, bending, coping and work to general machining tolerances. Must know how to read calipers and other measuring tools.  Must be able to stand 100% of scheduled shift. Lifting, pushing, prying, and dragging heavy materials up to 50 pounds.
