Good morning, i know all you guys have your choices in tires when it comes to trail/mudding. If i were to say these two are the only tire you could use on your quad what tire would you go with? bugs or zillas? i'm leaning towards the bugs as they have always been my favorit but let me know what u think

26x10-12 fr & 26x10-12 rear mudbugs or

26x11-12 fr & 26x11-12 rear zillas

on your 800 i think you should get the zillas, but get 27". they are 5lbs lighter than the bugs each!

yeah, the 28's have 30/32 of an inch, and the 26-27" have 1.2 inches of tread.

why do you say 26" bugs is it do to the fact that it has wider stronger lugs than the 27 & 28" bud bug tire? You see mudbugs is my favorit A/T tire i love this tire in the 26" mudbug but i never seen a zilla work. i wouldnt mind trying this tire out on trail, mud and snow. Do you think it would outperform the bugs in trail ,sand, mud or snow?

i have tried swamp fox plus, outlaws, mudzillas, mudlights, stockers, mudbugs in all sizes, mst's, swamp lites, exectutioners and gators.

what my best tires are mudbugs, outlaws & gators so far hopefully the zillas do good.

heres a little video of zillas going threw on the can-am. 3rd bike

Yeah i beleive that, not real impressed with Mudzillas or Zillas.
LOL i really cant say the Mudlites would out preform them I guess that would be a stretch..

A Vampire would be a better tire IMOP then Zillas and if i wanted a 26/27" good tire i would have Vampires or Tri/Bi Claws myself.

Does everyone in the vids you find ride WOT all the time in Mudholes..lol

ya it seems that way its hard to find a person an a can-am taking there time working the hole there always full throttle, canat say i blam them cause its hard to hold back, really hard but it has to be done Those TRI/BI CLAWS are they a good tire probably heave though. You see remember that video i had that the 09 beat me in. Well he had 26" tires on & i had 28 also he had his exhaust and i didnt have mine do to hunting season. now i want to sell my 28msts to purchase a 26 like him but light for maximum pwer. the bug will do wonders but the zillas are even lighter and look to be just as good. I don't want to get killed like that last race evem though i did beat the other 2 renagades

So your wanting a Light weight tire.. Think i said that before..lol  anyway those Zillas are entry level tires like Mudlites are.. LOL

yeah i think the claws are a heavyer tire, but its hard to find a real light tire that gets real good traction in mud that why i went with alot of GC and light weight when i got the 30s.
I have a set of 26" 589MTs that i was going to run but crap i think they are heavyer then my 30" mls and dont offer any better traction and are 4" shorter.

Yeah i have a hard time just nailing the throttle and blasting threw stuff as i am so use to riding with my Laws on and they dont work best like that. I allways have let the tire do the work instead of just useing High tire speed.

i have new 28" outlaws on 212 rims so i dont really need a good mud tire. I just need something for trial and the mudholes i come accross, ok you got me we go out of our way to find I know for a fact for my type of riding that the mudbugs to best for me but everyone here has bugs on as they coped us. That being said id like to try a new tire thinking the entry level zillas lol . i hope to god there alot stronger than mudlights cause that tire is a waist of rubber imo

LOL i bet the zillas would get a flat way before the mudlites would, i also bet the mudlites will work far better in sand as well, I bet the mudlites out climb them as well, and in mud i bet they are very close just depending on the mud type and all. and the zillas run short in size as well.
the tread pattern on the zillas is not a real good one for climbing or sand that is very easy to see with them.

I vote for the MudBugs out of those 2.

well, in about a week, we will know how they compare cause ive got a set of 27" zilla's ordered. the main reason that i got the zilla, was because of how light it is compared to other tires that are the same size or smaller! we will soon find out how they compare.

One reason they are so much lighter is they are so much smaller besides have real thin side walls, i have read alot that 27" zillas are just barely 26" tall so if you compare the weight of them to a 26" tire they are not that much lighter really.

Well i cant see it being a bad tire and really cant see it being less puncture resistant than a mudlight cause maxxis made it. There a known for bullet proof tires, mudzilla and bugs I hope this guy does a video so i can see how they performed or i'll just stick with mudbugs
