to start off this week was going good.   other than me having to work nights.  when we got here we were shut in due to the drilling rig jacking up next to us to drill us some new wells.  Well all was well until saturday... they got jacked up and skidded over the platform and got everything ready to drill.  We started trying to get this place back online and OH WAS THIS WHERE THE poop HIT THE FAN--ya like that caps ey... anyway our relief bled the pipeline down and every other vessel on the platform.... which leaves us with no fuel gas or anyway to run our controllers or anything.

we did some engineering and got a well open so we could get some fuel gas to get everything up and running.... well we did... somewhat

being we have such low producing wells we have just now started to get our pipeline pressures back up to around 900 psi and normal operation pressure is around 1080.

needless to say since saturday I have had much sleep and on top of that I have a cold and been running a fever last night and tonight... I'm just glad I'll be getting off of here this morrning

I know how those weeks are, we have a rig coming probably within the next week or so, it depends now on what this storm is going to do.

We will be sending in all of our construction, I&E, and painting crews probably starting tomorrow.

Our week wasn't nearly as bad as yours, I kinda like it when the rigs show up, because of the extra overtime, but they do become a hassel.

so far the rig itself hasnt been much of a problem, yeah shutting in for little things was aggrevating but not bad.    We have some good people on this rig, its the rowan 'cecil provine'.

arent you pretty close to me?

That sucks. I just got out today. I just came on nights and we're about to start phase 1 of the evacuation plan, tying everything down. It looks like we'll get to shut it in for the storm, and come back out to bring it back on line. Looks like some overtime in the near future here.

Looks like you'll get home in time to sit at the Homochitto and watch the storm pass by.

well I'll be ****ed!  I didnt know your into wheelers man!   what ya ridin?

how ya like richard's(my lead) new relief?   he calls himself "iggy"   I call him relay... anything happens with a level or a pressure on the platform and its something to do with a controller and its ALWAYS a bad relay.   he almost caught a monkey stomping from me a couple times this week.... wednesday morning he was telling me what needed to be done to fix the fuel gas high pressure issue we were having and well I kind of knew there was an issue later and he didnt want to listen to me and I finally told him "its your hitch now son get it however you can"

im not the type to  think im smarter than somebody or to not listen to somebody with more experience... but I've been there longer and I pretty much seen or been through most of the problems we normally have but thats ok I dun have to work for him... I just have to fix everything he is gunna mess up when I finally get back out there
