I am currently getting my engine rebuilt on my 750 by a dealer. The guy at the dealership told me that since I was putting high compression pistons and hot cams that i needed a aftermarket crankshaft or better rods. I have not found anyone who makes either one for a brute force and I was wondering if they even make any and if the guy doesnt know what he is talking about

Guy doesnt know what he is talking about. I'd go get it back and do the work yourself if its just topend.Nothin to it. One of the highest HP kawi v-twins with a supercharger is runnin stock rods and crank and has been for a good while! Almost everyone is runnin stock rods....Yes you can get aftermarket stuff from Falicon, but it is $$$.

Also I'd go with web 150i cams on that build. Hotcams arent gonna do a whole lot for ya.

I second that one.  The stock rods and crank are very strong.  I would upgrade the cam and go with aftermarket springs and retainers.  It will give you more topend.

how much do web cams 150i run compared to hot cams. I found the hot cams for $220 is the reason i was going with them

Does the fully muzzy make that big of a difference with a built motor? I was just plannin on keepin my HMF Penland on after teh wisco's and new cam are in. If the Muzzy really makes a difference I'll spring for it.

I heard that the muzzys does but not sure I dropped in a set of 150i's with nothing else and gained 3.5 HP at the rear wheels on the dyno and better throttle response I would imagine with pistons it would be even better for a drop in cam i thought it was good.

Im rebuilding the top end on a friend of mines bike. He is wanting to put 11:1 weisco piston in it. Can i slap the pistons in there and run pump gas 91 octane? Will it be ok with that compression? Im pretty sure it will. I was always told that 12:1 you have to run race gas. Just curious because i have no personal experince with brute. Thanks for the help.

The webs(150i and 504) will set you back a little more than those Notcams but they are a big improvement over them also. I run the 150i with a set of F. S T. true 11.5 pistons . It's a pretty strong combo for what it is.

I just done the Bosses Brute 650 with V Force Cylinders bored 2 mm over and a set of **** Piston 11.5:1 True Comp as stated above the shelf 11.5s are really 10.5 not 11.5 as the say they are, also we put the 504 Grinds in and took a little off the heads and it is now a 698 but it is a Very Quick Bike and lots of low end Power for sure.

I wish I would have got more information on the cams before I bought some cause I already have the hot cams and it will cost me a 25% restocking fee to return them. How much horsepower will the wiseco cams and hot cams at to my bike. I have a 08 750 with a hmf pipe and optimizer already. What esle can I add to gain some mid range and top end. I really don't need any more low end.

if mid & top end is what you are looking for then you need to look into the vfj clutch mod.  it runs about $300

Just get the Web Cams or get with Goatman on here in the for sale ads and he has some CWR 450 Lift Cams, but call around and check to make sure they will fit but he only want 250.00 for them and you could sell the Slow Cams for that much on Ebay.

Hit up 06grizzwald and ask him about his setup! I like the Wesico and MudBusters myself! I love lowend torque!

Haven't been able to ride it much since I got it, but the little bit I have, it has some serious NUTZ on the bottom.  I'm in the process of getting a few loose ends tied up, and when I do I give you a full report.
