Highlifter Outlaw MSTs. They are not "aggressive", very trail friendly, lightweight (not the lightest, but definitly not heavy), measure true, and perform well in mud. They are an excellent tire for people who ride about 50/50 mud/trail.  With the 420, I suggest 26x12 rear and 26x10 front. It will spin them fine and give you some much needed ground clearance with the SRA.

No you dont need a lift even those 26" Swamplites will run about 27" tall.

Pulling them should be no problem either.

They are a great trail tire, do decent in water and watery mud but stay outta thick mud and sand with them, also dont get on pavement much at all.

If you can get the 26" SL's for about $275 or less, Id say try them.  but if they are more than, say, $65 each, Id get a better tire.

MSTs are just right, Zillas are good too, as are Dirt devils and Mudbugs.

Zillas are nice and light, MSTs are great tires, Mudlite XTRs are good, Swamplites and Mudlites would fit that ticket too. The Swamplites are a great trail tire that does decent in mud, but they don't like sand and they will wear faster then most on anything hard (pavement, rocks, or constant hardpacked dirt). I had Swamplites on a couple of 2wds and they did pretty good but I ride too much mud to get them on a 4x4. The Zillas, XTRs, and MSTs are prob the best 3 trail/mud tires.

I just bought some ITP Terracross HD's  They are just right for the type of riding you do IMO . When I switched from stock it has changed my ride ability and feels like I have power steering now. I do the same type of riding you do.  I have also heard great reviews of the Maxxis Bighorns also.

I put 27" swamps on my 700 Grizz and they do great for being an all terain. I am very pleased with them in mud. I have had mine in some of the nastiest stuff and they do fine. The wear a bit fast though. Ive got 650 miles on mine and im hard on them.

You won't have a prob with that on 26s, my 27s still got plenty of room. I think most of the guys thhat have those probs are running wides all around or 28"+ tires. Have you made any decision on tires yet or still trying to decide?
