July, like usual.  Maybe May or June, but who knows.  I'd expect some big changes for 09 though.

really i called some dealerships around here today, and they were like "th 08's just come out, the 09's dont until october november" I wonder if this is just speculation.  We need some concrete evidence that there's gonna be a bigger motor and new facelift coming to polaris bikes.  Does anyone know of anybody that works at Polaris that can shed some light on this subject.  I would hate to buy an 08 if the 09's are gonna be different!!!

Good luck getting someone from polaris saying anything on here.   For one Polaris does monitor this forum and they can track people down and give them the boot.

I will hopefully be doing some testing this coming summer but my fingers will be cuffed until just before the official release.

I do know that they have been testing a new motor for the sportsmans.   If it will be out this coming year or the next is still up to how things go as far as reliability etc.

Polaris is done rushing into things as it has bitten them in the butt before.

weber who makes the polaris twin motor has some surprises, so i guess we may see some, they have a 750 Sportsman that puts out 75 HP

Notice it says Sportsman 800 and doesn't say MPE 750, just MPE. There's an article in the news section of the Weber site that talks about an 800 cc version MPE. I really hope we see this motor in a Polaris Quad.

And the rumors begin!! I find it funny some of the stuff people hear. I am hoping for some bigger motors and some changes for the sportsman. The RZR i dont see them changing much other than some small fixes and tweaks(air box ect..), it just came out so i doubt they will do any major changes to it with all the success it's had. I think the ranger xp is ready for some more power and some cosmetic changes too.

I would like to see a light weight big power sportsman too, just to satisfy the speed freaks, it seems like all people care about is how fast their bike goes down the street with no regard for capability off the pavement    (t-cat)

Bla, Bla, Bla,.....its the same thing every year.
" I hear big changes"
" I hear a redesign coming"
"I hear more HP"
" I hear this and that"

And the same result every year too, Polaris lets us down EVERY YEAR.

I've been holding off on my purchase HOPING that Polaris actually listens to the riders and competes against their competition.  My money is still in the bank.  I am not optimistic that Polaris will make ANY changes to please consumers.  Mostly I imagine what will be seen is little changes, nothing like body style or weight loss ( if that is what you want )

Of course these are just my own thoughts....flame if you want, but remember I AM a Polaris fan.

i just got to say this. polaris does not disapoint us every year. they have one thing here and there that individual people don't like but overall polaris does alot of impressive stuff every year.

i agree honda/polaris.....Polaris continually improves, at the top of innovation, for the user stating that its the same ole thing, take the 08 800 Sportsman out for a ride and compare it against every other year, it is amazing quicker...

09, just something to look forward to....you can only come out with so many new things each year, the RZR was a big effort, remember IRS, remember Fuel Injection?  nah, always the same from Polaris

Yeah, Rath is racing QTC for Polaris. I find it hard to believe he'll be riding a current generation Sportsman because they're so heavy. Also, on the WPSA website, there's a Press release from Suzuki saying they've got a guy racing a 750 Kingquad in QTC Pro-Stock. In 07', pro-stock was limited to 699ccs so I would guess WPSA raised the CC limit, but to what I don't know.

I think Polarisphil probably knows something since he's HL staff. I know the change from Mcpherson struts to double a-ams is gonna help w/ Polaris' liftability. I bet HL has 09' sportsmans back in the R&D shop right now developing lift kits.

Nope, no '09s in the barn, but the mechanics are working on one certain machine that will blow your socks off!  It will be at Nationals, not totally finished, but it will be amazing!

I must be stupid then, but what's the fancy "Highlifter Pro Staff Member" Avatar for then. Also, when's nationals? I just keep hoping for Renegade competition. Seeing a sportsman w/a Weber twin in it also gives me hope.
