It would be awesome if someone would give a good break down on which amsoil to use for what and how much of each it takes.

The manual will have the capacities, but here's all you need.

0w40 Full Synthetic for motor

75w90 Severe Gear full synthetic for front and rear diffs

Chaincase 2000 for the gearbox

SMF121 Oil filter

Synthetic Water Resistant Lithium Grease for all the Zerks

I would say any of the synthetics would be good. I saw a 800 that had a broken link on the timing chain and it chewed up the plastic chain sliders so bad that it plugged up the  square metal sreen to the point it where the oil pump sucked it so hard it bowed it and finnaly seized the motor, but all of the bearings  looked good if he wasnt running the mobile 1 synthetic it would have been worse.

amsoil is great oil and have every bit of the fluids you need to do the can ams its a one call ordering process and you have all your fluids you need. no more running to 3 or 4 different stores to get all the fluids.

42000km (26250 miles) on a 02 Kodiak and 33000km (20625 miles) on a 04 Kawi KFX700 and both are still running strong. I'm almost at 6000 miles on my 08 Renegade and it hasn't seen the shop.

All the big performance car builders use mobile 1. They put it in cars from the factory, with full warranties, on cars that cost in excess of over a 100,000+. I say if money is no object and the manufactures are using mobile 1 to protect thei butts on warranties for motors that cost over 20,000. They gotta be sure what they got.

So it is mobile 1 for me. Independent testers are like noted above, hired by whom.

Car manufactures do their own test and or hire outside testers and have no investment based on who wins. Then they choose the mobile 1 for their exotics as factory spec.
