Status: offline 		just curious if anyone knew about all the latest wheels and if they have come out with any that are lighter weight but still cool..

Status: offline 		I have ss212s that I don't find too heavy.Anything aftermarket will be a little heavier than stock.

Status: offline 		Just a little added info. I just got through talking to DWT and here is a rough est. weight on these wheels with out a specifis bolt pattern. 

Rim size 12x7

QuatroSport    9.6 lbs.

Rythem          10.7 lbs.

Spyder           11.0 lbs.

Just rember the diffrent bolt patterns will effect the weights of these wheels

Status: offline 		the Maxxis Max lite wheels are about a light as you are going to get @ 7lbs...........unless you just want to use Grizzly stockers @ under 5lbs

  no....not always.....on the Brute 750, 650i, rinny, Grizzly 660/700 & Rubicon they are very light....5-6lbs stock ......but the bikes that come with cast aluminum wheels run about the weight of an after market cast aluminum rim......8-11 lbs.........stock steel wheels are a few lbs more than that.......then you have Vison wheels....some of them go over 15lbs each  and you have the ITP type 6 rims....they are the lightest cast wheel @ around 6lbs....

Status: offline 		i would say motor sport alloy rims are just cause there thin (very thin)

my friend got some climax's on his popo, went to a local mud bog and got some rocks or debis stuck on top of his caliper rode it for like 2 weeks and it wore rite through the rim between the beads. it was like a 1/16" thick . i have cut up a itp t5 that was bent and that was closer to  3/16"-1/4" thick in that same area on the rim

Status: offline 		i belive the rattlesnakes are just under 10lbs.....i think most of the SS wheels are around 10 to 11lbs if i remember correctly........

  wow....the type 5 is around 3/4lb heavier than the type 6.........hummm....i geuss sometimes lighter is not better.....

  the type 6 is polished and the lip is machined down more......if you look at them side by side they do look like they would be lighter...

Status: offline 		I ordered 4 27" Swamp Lites mounted on SS108 wheels and the total weight for all 4 is 128 lbs, that tells me them SS108's are pretty lightweight.

How can that be if all four tires and wheels weighed in at 128 lbs? 27" Swamplites arent exactly featherweights. I would question it but these guys charge by the lb for freight, so I cant see them screwing themselves on the weight.

The weights from RONNIE'S mail order warehouse
27x9x12 = 27lbs.
27x10x12 = 29lbs.
27x12x12 = 30lbs.

just search the forum for wheel weights. all kinds of answers.

Status: offline 		Maxxis does not make atv wheels anymore but you might still find the Max lites  somewhere. They weigh 7.5 lbs and are about the lightest excluding stockers.
BigAl270B, I've never seen the DWT QuatroSport wheels. I couldn't find them so was wondering if anyone had a link or picture.
