ORIGINAL: 420corndog57 where is a good place to ride around western ky? I haven't been to Gregory Lake yet that Probus mentioned, but I have been wanting to go just to see what its about. I hear it is a very easy place to ride, something the wife and kids would have fun riding on. My buddies and I (we live in owensboro), have been riding at Turkey Bay (Land between the lakes at KY lake). It is decent. Its got some steep hills to climb and lots of trails that seem to intersect each other from all different directions. I think its worth riding every now and then, but can get old if you go every weekend. Not many mud holes there though if thats what you are into. Mostly wooded trails and hills to climb. Another place we going to try soon is Lynnville, IN. Its about an hour north of us. I use to ride dirt bikes there when I was in high school. It was nice. I haven't been there in about 10 years, so I'm looking forward to seeing what has changed. You have to register your atv with the IN DNR (Department of Natural Rescources) and display stickers on your 4 wheeler to ride out there though. You can do it by mail and it takes about 2 weeks. $30 will get you a 3 year registration. Cheap! For the last year now, my buddies and I will take off to Brimstone in Huntsville TN once every few months. Its about a 4 hr drive hauling a 16 ft trailer with 4 atv's on it. But it is awesome! It is smaller in acreage compared to Windrock, but the trails are much better in my opinion. If you live in western ky, and you dont want to drive too far, your best bet is Turkey Bay, Gregory Lake, and Lynnville IN. Hope that helps.
