I tried to do a water wheelie today in the river, but it wouldn't do it.  I would get pretty deep and stand on the back bars and then when I try to pop the front up it just spins the back tires. What could i try doing to get it to do a water wheelie?

My wife can do water wheelies on here eiger with MSTs without pulling on the bars(she is still kinda scarde to go over backwards). Water Wheelies are all about traction and flotation! Without them(Mudlights are most of your problem) all you will get is a nose down underwater burnout!

The only reason I got the mud lites is because I got the set for $75, if I were going to buy a new set of tires they would probably be my last choice.

IT IS NOT THE MUDLITES WHEN I STARTED RIDING IN THE WATER IT TOOK ME FOREVER TO GET IT TO WHEELIE NOW MY SPORTSMAN, GRIZZLY, AND MY BUDDYS HONDA NO PROBLEM NONE OF THESE HAVE LAWS

IT IS WEIGHT TRANSFUR AND THROTTLE CONTROLE MOST OF ALL PRACTIES

TWO OF MY BUDDYS HAS MUDLITES AND BOTH HAVE ON PROBLEM WITH WATER WHEELIES

I have stock tires on my king and I have water wheelied the few times I have been deep enough. I find I have to be up to the racks to get it to come up.  Since I am not snorkled have only done this on short distant water crossings.  You perhaps weren't quite deep enough to allow for flotation.

my wife can water wheelie her little polaris hawkeye 300 4wd, with 25" mudlights. just need to get some wt on the back tires and hold it WFO.

the mudlights are not the problem. its the rider. lol

my wife does it by stopping and then putting wt on the back of the machine then punching it WFO and leaning back. if she can do. then anyone can do it as her machine is not the strongest machine out there.

Well for ME im only 130 lbs not much weight on there to wheelie and weight trans , But it has been harder for me to get the front end up if im not as deep but when the laws half my tire i can stand it up as for the mudlites i had to be a little over my rack to get her going good .

I can water wheelie on my wife's Ozark. It only has my stock 25" Grizzly tires on it. Deep enough water. Weight transfer. Throttle control. And pull up on the bars. I have no problem. Heck its easier with it than my Grizz. It just takes pratice.

I am going to snorkel the eiger in the next few weeks then I will try deeper, now I am comfortable to get the headlights under water with no problem.  The weight transfer and throttle response thing is not the problem, I used to ride wheelies all the time. After I snorkel it I will try deeper.

Are you getting any water in your belt housing at all? That could be a reason its not getting up.

Not that I can remember, I don't remember hearing the belt slip. Most of the time when the belt slips it will make a noise.

One simple tool that might help you is to deflate a basketball/soccer ball, stuff it into the front of your quad and then air it back up. It looks kinda goofy, but it should help you.

Not always. When I first started with my Grizz I keep getting water in the housing. It took away from the power. But if you have water in your housing. It is an act of congress to get the front end up.

speaking of water in the housing the river level was a little higher today when I went and I got water in the belt housing. I had to get pulled back to the house. Now I'm going to lowes to buy some stuff to snorkel my eiger.
