Hey guys I tried a search and didn't find any definate answers but my question is I have a small leak (drips) of coolant leaking from the waterpump and I was planning on going to Atv mudfest tomorrow night.  Will it be fine for the weekend if I just add coolant to it as needed?  Water/mud shouldn't be able to get in correct?  I just want to make sure because I already spent a load on my bike for my dumb mistakes and I don't want to make anymore.  Thanks in advance.

doubt it... usually when it starts dripping it goes 100% in  a couple hours after that, mine was dripping at the start of a ride 4 hours later i was putting it in the truck with no fluid and if it blows out you wont be able to keep up on the fluid, also you will be happy to know that unless your out of warranty you wont be spending money on this one...  hope you dont have to go to hattisburg cycles it seems it takes them over a month to fix a weep hole.... i am fixing to make a big post about them if i dont hear something about my bike tommorow

I'm just not sure how long its been leaking.  I just noticed it today and I messed around with my bike all day yesterday and didn't see any leaking.  Also I have my t-stat out so shouldn't it leak non-stop?  I ask because it only does it when the bike's running.  I guess im going to just take the chance and hope it holds up for mudfest.

i wonder if for a temporary fix you could put a fitting in the weep hole and rout a line to the coolant overflow tank. so that when the coolant comes out of the weep hole the only place it could go is back in to the overflow tank. this is just a thought. im not sure if it would work but i wouldnt leave it like that very long. Good Luck

like i had said its not a bad leak at all it would take a week of straight riding to drain the whole thing but i was just curious like matprice had said if it will get worse or just stay at a leak.  at least until monday after the ride.

it will get worse. i noticed mine was leaking just a little on a friday night ride and saturday i went riding and i just topped of the coolant every couple of hours. By sunday it was leaking pretty bad, the high temp light would come on after about an hour, hour and a half. i think if you just payed close attention to it you should make it through a weekend ride.

Yeah that's what I'll end up doing.  I'll just watch it real close and come next week I'll look into getting it fixed.  I wish it would have started this a couple of weeks back instead of the day before I leave

It always starts the day before. Murphys law. Water pump seal went, and no matter how much coolant I topped it up with, it wouldnt run cool and was always in limp mode. We would stop, cool it right down, 10- 15 min. later limpmode was back on.

it prolly dose not have enough pressure to push it to the over flow and would mostly likely fill your case up with coolant... not good

it definately wont have enough pressure.  my overflow bottle is up top with my radiator on the front rack.  ill just take my chances and hopefully i can ride friday and saturday with no more problems.  ill just keep some antifreeze at my campsite and fill up whenever needed.

Mines in the shop for the weep hole as we speak. And when i tell you it went to leaking , it went to leaking. I could pour it in the radiator and watch it come out the weep  hole. I could fill it up and it would over heat in about 5 minutes.

Went through a pretty long mud hole. Got out and rode for about 10 minutes. Limp mode came on , because no water in the radiator at all. Pulled it back to the truck because i had no extra water. This was at night by the way. Next day poured water into radiator and watched pour out of weep hole without even starting it. Before that ride i had no issues with a leaking weep hole.

That's funny, the part about the the coolant pouring out. I have never seen that. Just a slow leak. U guys must have some abrasive mud to do that!
