hey, on my 06 outty 400 when i have it in 2wd the front tires still spin, when i toggle from 2wd to 4wd i can hear like it is changin but it dosent, yall have any idea what the cause would be?

Sometimes soon as I take mine out of 4wd it'll stay locked in. I usually drive it about 10 feet and let off the gas and it usually unlocks when all the stress is relieved on the drivetrain.

well i had drove it about 50 yards and put it in my garage then up on some jack stands with all the tires of the ground and i ran it for a while in 2wd and they were still turnin

Sounds like you might have something jammed up in the actuator housing which is not allowing it to disengage.

silly question since I dont own an outty but... have you tried backing up?  I am seriously looking at an 800 tho... hence the reason Im in here.

Sounds crazy, but is your light still showing 4x4? Mine was stuck in four wheel drive and it was because of an accessory fuse that had blown earlier that day.  So check all your fuses, relays, and diodes! Sometimes its a simple fix.

yeah I should not have listend to a friend and got one when I had the cash instead of my honda, not that I dont like my honda just need more power. Now I gotta wait a lil bit...
