I bought a 4500 viper a month or so ago and finally got to try it out just the other day. This thing is super strong and durable. I sunk my rhino in a mud bog on purpose to see if it would pull it out and it did. I had mud coming over the hood of my rhino. All i did was keep in the throttle just alittle and the winch pulled me about 75 feet through mud that was waist deep and Iam 6'3". This thing is awesome, save your money and go with a viper. My 2 cents.

If it didnt have a sticker on it saying Viper, you would sware its a warn, I just purchased a 4500 with the syntetic rope, that is the way to go.

Finally got to put the viper to a real test. I rode at river run last thursday and was able to find a hole suitable. It was one of the truck holes that had a little water on top and full of mush. I sunk the Rhino to the top of the hood. I got out and hooked up winch and started pulling. It took awhile but I had to pull it about 50' (almost all the rope). There was mud being pushed up on the hood. It was great and I would recomend Viper winches to anyone that truly wants a great winch and not spend an arm and a leg.

I was sceptic at first but I bought the viper 4500 and it is great has worked  ever time I needed it. I would say u could get a bad one in all brands but for the money I would recommend the viper 4500.

You can go to motoalliance and throw a .com behind that and order them straight from the factory. :)

Another positive bump for the Viper here. I bought a MX3000 with the synthetic rope and it
is the best winch I have ever owned. I had two Warns previously and had problems with both.
The Warn on my old Kodi quit working after the second time I used it. I also had contacter issues
with both Warns...

Great product for the money and Peter and his crew are GREAT to deal with.

Maybe Highlifter should start carring their stuff....

You just might see that in the near future with all the hype about Vipers and all the lousy experiences with the Warns.

Sounds like a pretty bad short in there somewhere. Hope it didn't cause any other damage. Did they say what the cause was? Just curious.

i have called them twice since the 4th and still nothing yet. It 100% killed my battery, and melted some of my platic where ever the wires touched. But i still would think that this is just like they say 1 and a million thing.
