Ya know everybody on here reccomends k&n and Outlaws. While they are both good things they aren't perfect for everything.

Uni is a foam filter that uses a tacky oil to cover it much like a stock filter. A uni will flwo much more air than a stock but not as much as k&n.

k&n flows more air because it stops nothing. If you ride in dusty conditions a k&n will let dirt and dust into your carb or motor. Not good.

I suggest a Uni any day over a k&n. The only time a k&n is worthwhile is with the pre-filter

I have a K&N on my truck and a UNI on the brute. Rinny is right, K&N is good...but not for everything.

That's about as good as it can be described. But, I've recently found out the UNI have, can/will come apart)deteriorate) causing major motor damage!  That's the reason I chose to go with the Twin Air! I agree on the K & N, it'll let too much dust/dirt through, ultimately leading to the same end result as the UNI IMO! Good luck          Brandon

I didnt like the material that the uni was made from either. It was only on my bike a few weeks tho. I didnt emntion twin air since it wasnt asked but a twin air is much better than both hands down IMO. Unless you live up north and have no dust then dont use a k&n without a prefilter

I like a twin air or uni. A uni is great if you keep your eye on it. As long as you dont let it get dried out then it will work great. If you let it get dried out then it will start falling apart and get sucked into the carb and motor
