Both have the 3.3, the revo is set up for more of a track racer, the t-maxx is more of a basher (play toy), although both can do either. With either one of them in a nitro version, you must read the book and follow directions perfect. Nitro engines require dedication to them, they must be tuned almost every day you run them, they must be kept clean and serviced, you must use afterrun oil. Electric is a charge and go system, but IMO not near as fun. I love my nitro's, but be prepared to sepnd a huge amount of money, once you get it, then the hop up bug hits you, I have a littl over 3,000 invested in all my stuff and I sold one truck for 1200 just to recover some money. Expect to get 8- 10 gallons of fuel from a nitro engine, although I did have a 2.5 that lasted 13.5 gallons. The Traxxas ERP program is great though, run it till it's dead, send the the motor and 115 dollars, and BAM, brand new 3.3 at your service.
