i want to put together a tool kit for my bike. what would be some good stuff to put in it.

vice grips, flat and phillips screw driver, tire plug kit w/co2 or an air pump, plug socket, zip ties, duct tape, electric tape, ****s (cutters), plug, spare belt w/ applicable tools (if belt drive), radiator washer (if water cooled), flash light, and tow rope. Im sure I forgot something....

10MM, 12MM, 14MM SOCKETS (DON'T FORGET RATCHET) OR WRENCHES. SPARK PLUG WRENCH, FUSES, PHILLIPS & FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVERS. CAN OF FIX-A-FLAT AND PLUGS. THAT SHOULD DO YA! OH YEAH AND A STRAP TO PULL YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE IN.

That is all very good things to have out there and have most of it myself, but for trail riding there is one more must have thing when you are out there toilet paper.
