I hope this horse hasn't been beat to death but i wondered if its is actually worth the time and money to Dyno jet  a BB carb!

I resenty added an HMH utility, k&n air and snorkeled my intake. It ran rough at first but when i through a 125 jet in and played with the air screw a little, it seems to be running fine!!

By adding the Dyno jet will it  truely  make a difference or is it just a wast of morey/time???    thanks, Ayo

well if you already have a bigger jet then why buy another one if yours runs fine? i doubt the DynoJet needle will make a noticable difference if thats what your talkin about..

I just don't understand all the hype.  Dyno kit is over 50 bucks and a 125 jet is less then 3 dollars!!!  Did any of you see a noticeable difference after you installed the kit?

the dyno just gives you more options you can adjust the needle to a fine tuning unlike a stock needle i didnt buy one for my BB i spent $1 on a 122 jet from a local shop and runnin good it might be worth the money for me to get one after im done with all the mods im going to do so i can dyno tune it JMO

I wouldn't spend money on a DJ kit.  You can get the same results for much cheaper like stated above by buying a main jet and a pilot jet.  The stock needle IS adjustable.  There should be atleast 3 positions that the clip can be adjusted to, but that's not all.  Go to a hardware store and find yourself some very thin washers of the same inner and outer dimensions as the washer that comes on the needle from the factory.  You should be able to find very thin washers that will help you tune the bike very accurately.

The moral of the story is that you don't need to purchase the DJ kit to get the same results that one will give you.  All this is given to the fact that you know what you are doing when it comes to tuning a carburetor.

Often times people find that the suggested settings listed in the DJ instructions are off a little bit.  That's where the majority of questions come from is when people do what the instructions tell them to, but their machines are not running right.

Well i broke down and bought a DJ kit and glad i did. The directions are garbage but once i got the mixture screw set right, i defiantly noticed a difference!  Not sure if it was because the bike just wasn't tuned right to begin with but the DJ kit seen to do the trick!!!!
