i have a 2007 polaris 500 x2 and next month some friends and i are going to run the rubicon and someone said on another site not to go with the stock tires. and referred me to this site for information. so could i go with stock tires or do i need something else? my tire size are front 25x8x12 rear are 25x11x12. any information would help. thanks

the rubicon sounds like a trail ride...?

Id say get 26" Bighorns but the stock PXT's should do aight.

I'd say Bighorns or ITP Terra Crosses. Outlaws aren't best for EVERYTHING, geez.

Alright you are going on the rubicon and you are going to need something besides mud tires.  The best tires for rocks in my opinion are Big Horns but this is deff not the site for the kind of tires you need.  Go to www.prcforum.com and the guys there will help you out.  Alot of them ride in that area and will deff be able to help you out.

I agree stay away from pure mud tires for the rubicon. I would look at bighorns and thing along them lines. I would also say to air down so the tire will conform to the rocks but at the same time  you do not want to bust a bead. Maybe bighorns aired down on some bead locks ?
