Status: offline 		does any one know what tires i would need for my 97 honda fourtrax 300 4x4? it dosen't have any mods exept for a 2500lb gorilla winch on the front. i am also looking into a 2 or 3 inch lift.  i ride about 50 mud and 50 everything else. i also use it for hunting. what size and type tire would you suggest for me? thanks

Status: offline 		Get a HL lift and some 26" Gators/Mudbugs.

Trust me I had this combo and it would be perfect for what you will be using it for.

Status: offline 		589's are heavy and I've heard they ride fairly rough on our little 300's. I'm with gmcz71, gators or bugs are a pretty good all-around tire. Keep the 1" shorter front like factory.

2" lift. The only way to get more than that(w/o custom axles and arms) is to run stiffer springs and/or coil spacers which make it ride rough(er).

Status: offline 		i think 32's will be perfect. that 300 will turn them FINE, even stock.. lol, i would look into outlaw MST's ( mud snow trail ) maybe some mudlites too

Oops, forgot to mention the size differences.

I didnt keep the difference on mine, just ran the front tires low on air and kept the back 6psi+ so that I had a .75" difference.

The 589's are a good tire as well but are heavy and expensive, not very smooth.

Zillas are good as well.

Status: online 		I would agree with mudbugs! I had them on my big bear and loved them they ride great and do well in the mud. I am going to get a set for my newly aquired Quadrunner.
