get a lift and then get 27x10 front and 26x12 rear Vampires.

stock or aftermarket rims, the Vamps come in the size you need and you will really like them.

another vote for 'vamps. They're hard to beat for a mostly mud used bike, I don't think they can be beat for the 70/30 useage you're talking. That's about what I ride, and I'm putting vamps on the back of my 300. My buddy has them on his 335 polaris and they're just an awesome tire.

For a more matched tire combo, I would suggest 25x12 Vampires and 27x10 Vampires up front.  Both tires will easily get close to 25.25 or in ground clearance at about 4-6 PSI.

I agree with vampires.  Great mud tire, probably the best in 27 and under sizes.

On a honda 300 the front tries should be one inch smaller so stay with the 27x10 fronts and get a 26x12 rear and you should be good ot go.

Good point.  To stay close to what the 300's have stock, that is a good combo.  I just prefer matching tire heights (and widths if possible).

Matched heights on the 300 leads to heavy steering. It also technically binds the running gear, although many people claim to have run like that for years w/o issue.

I currently have the exec's - they're nothing like the vamp's in mud and they don't ride as smooth on the trails. They're a decent tire for the $, but the vamps aren't that much more and they are that much more tire.
