06 Sportsman 700 'Carbed has recently started flashing the HOT warning light when I am creek riding.......will flash 6-7 times then quit.....I'm not talking about running fast and hitting a hole.....just slow riding at floorboard or a little higher depth .......never had this problem with my 02 500 or this machine till about 150 hours.....

I was told the antifreeze needed changing....that it was breaking down......

I recently had the ECM replaced under a recall......before the replacement the fan would not turn off once it came on.....after the replacement the fan would turn on and off as it should but has recently went back to constant running......

Anyone have any suggestions ?

My '06 700 had the fan constantly running. It turned out the radiator was bad. There is a baffle that can come loose and bypass the cooling coils.

I pulled my radiator and turned it at an angle so if water is poured into the top inlet it wouldn't be able to get to the bottom because it has to run uphill on the coils. On mine the water made it down to the bottom outlet which told me that water was making it past that baffle and not being routed thru the coils. Hope that makes since.
