Well i guess you can say its my own fault. Went on a mud ride with my "99 grizzly 600. The oil cooler was plugged with mud and battery is 100% finished so the fan was working the greatest either and a i had to pull start the bike. On the way home from the ride (a few miles from home) the temp light came on. It a dark out, bad black flies and i was fed up lol. So i said ^$&* it, i keep driving. Made it home fine.

Went to start the bike this morning and now its smoking and burning oil...  So, before i start tearing it apart who thinks its gonna be the piston rings, or the valve seals...

Let me know what you think

Piston, rings, and at least refinish the cylinder wall.  Bad enough, you might need to go up a size, only inspection will tell.

update!

Took it all apart. piston and cylinder are MINT!!!, rings seem in spec range (changing them anyway). But.... Valves are no longer sealed lol. Did a quick test by filling the head with fuel and watching to see if the fuel level goes down. Took less than 1 minute for all of the fuel too seep through. mainly the intake seals...
