Just about any Advance Auto / AutoZone / Western Auto / Parts America type store. They aren't going to be as bright as the "professional" brands like the cop cars use.

You can also look at StreetGlow (google for it) they have some "cheaper" head light ones, and they have a more expensive pro kit.

That should get you started.

I guess my thought is why go cheap?? When I do something I only like to do it once and cheaper doesn't normally last as long.

Aren't strobe lights illegal? At least in California they are. I would of bought some already if they weren't illegal here. Everything's illegal here and I'm already having a problem taking my new quad out because of the "Designated" trail areas that already took affect in certain areas of California. In my opinion, there's definitely something wrong with the laws and restrictions of this state. I'm probably going to have to pack all my stuff and move out of here or something.

Been trying to keep my mouth shut about the light stuff but I work part time intalling police/fire lights for a friend. I install mostly sho-me lights Theres a lot of places that sell them on the web. The ones you get at parts stores are realy cheap. I got some a long time ago and you couldnt see them at all. Theres lots of good videos of how lights look and the patterns on youtube. Just search whelen, galls, sho-me, federal signal I am sure there will be some more show up. My truck is on there some where some one stole my video and posted it.

This is my truck.

The strobe pack is a nova rpm that is the strobes in the grill and markers there 6 there kinda looks just 2 in the grill but there are 4. The rest are led sho-me mini thins.

Realy dont plan on putting lights on my quad becase police and fish & wild life have lights on there stuff and you will get arrested for that kinda thing also ever one would run from you if you came up with ligts flashing.

If I ever put strobes on my quad they will be white only. Red, blue or orange are usualy used by law enforcement officials and in my opinion using those on something other than emergency vehicles is a big no no for me.

"Off road use only" is always on the packages. I don't know why it would be illegal?

This is the reason why I dont like to talk about lights for non emergency use. Most of the time its boils down to officer description if it is illegal.

To each his own on flashing lights but this is how I look at it. Its just like if you were on the road. Police fire trucks and ambulance use lights to gets to emergency. What if there is an emergency on a trail. In my area I live there has been 3 atv related crashes in about a month. How is some one going to tell the differance in some one rideing and an emergency if you have flashing lights.

That is my opinion on lights

I want to stress this is my opinion, I realy dont want to start a fight about it.

Thats the same thing I did. I also put mine in the headlights and work lights only. I plow in the winter and with bad snow storms and poor visability I feel they add a level of safety.

I think it would be pretty easy to tell if a quad is an emergency vehicle on a mission, or just somebodys toy.
Tunes up front and a cooler in the rear kinda gives it away at times.  JMO.

the laws for on road vs off-road are completely different and different for each state, you need to check your state laws

and the idea of strobes isn't for official use unless you are a fireman, search and rescue, etc., they are for show and tell
