Well i have been trying to get my 4wd to work.  first i found the acc. fuse was blown so i replaced it and now the 2wd and 4wd indicator light flash back and forth. i changed the fluid. it was dirty. also i took the actuator off and was going to clean it but it was spotless inside and out.  also i can not get any power to the actuator plug when i use a test light.   i am out of ideas.  is there a relay for the 4wd?  do i need to reset something?

have you made sure to unplug and reconnect the ECM under the seat?
I would do that for poops and giggles.
When you took apart the actuator did u verify neither of the two magnets inside came loose? Also when you took it apart, did you put the motor housing back on in the same orientation it came off? thats important else it wont work.

THE MAGNETS WERE NOT LOOSE AND YES I PUT BACK IN THE SAME ORENTATION. NOW THE 2WD AND 4WD QUITE FLASHING BUT IT STILL WILL NOT ENGAGE.  WILL UNHOOKING THE ECM RESET THE 4WD.

theres 2 boxes under the seat one is the ecm the other is a smaller box that controls the 4wd. try un plugging both of them and plugging them back in. make sure that you clean out any dirt or mud in the connections and dielectric grase them before you plug them back in. were they dielectric greased before you started having trouble. also follow the wires from the 4wd switch and make sure there plugged in completely. the smaller box with the wires running into it is what controls the 4wd but check both of them to make sure there plugged in tight and not corroded.

WELL I THINK I MAY HAVE FOUND THE PROBLEM.  CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.   I REMOVED THE ACUATOR FROM THE FRONT DIFF AND ENGAGED THE 4WD MANUALLY.  WHEN I PUT IT IN 4WD DRIVE WITH ALL 4 TIRES OFF THE GROUND IT MAKES A VERY QUIET TIKING NOISE AND STILL WILL NOT ENGAGE. 2WD NO NOISE.    IF I MOVE THE SLIDE IN THE DIFF TO THE REAR OF THE DIFF THAT IS 4WD AND MOVE IT TO THE FRONT THAT IS 2WD. IS THAT CORRECT.  I GUESS THE NEXT THING TO DO IS REMOVE THE DIFF AND BREAK IT IN HALF AND SEE WHAT IS BROKE. ALSO I GOT THE ACUATOR TO WORK STILL NO 4WD. HAS ANYONE STRIPED THE SPLINES ON THE PROPELLER SHAFT?
