ok i have a buddy that has the exact outy as me the only diffrence is i have the homade lift kit in the front about 1 1/2". When i jump on his outy his steering feels so much lighter and easer to turn than mine. mines takes so much effort and all day riding beats the **** out of my arms. does anyone know why the sterring is so tight? Do you think adding that lift kit made my steering that much harder to turn?

ANY ADVISE THERE JOHN C?

i was wondering the same thing.  but my buddy has a renegade and even before i changed the shocks and put the bracket lift on his was 10 times easier to steer, even when not moving.

Ya i hear ya.... my buddys o7 gade and 08 outy both steer about the same with no or little effort at all. Then theres mine where it feels like im in 4 wheel drive all the time. i dont get it but it sure would be nice if there is a fix for it my arms take a beating over this in long rides

Do they have the same tire on both bikes.  I go from stockers to mudzillas and it is like night and day difference it feel like power steering.

you going to tell me that mudzillas turn better than stockers?

the renagade has 27" gators turn with amazing
the 08 outy has 26" ams swamp fox plus and turns amazing aswell
i have 26" mudbugs in the front and its hard to turn. all of them are 10" in width

my buddy has 27" 589's on his renegade.  i had 27" 'zilla's on my outlander.  his feels like it has power steering compared to mine.  forget about it now that i put the 29.5x12's up front on my outy, but i think it should be better than it is.

Its called scrub! The offset of the wheels make it hard to turn. The closer you can have the center of the wheel over the ball joints the easier it turns.

I'm just trying to help you out, don't get too out of shape, ha ha.  (we all have the problem with the steering from time to time)  Have you thought about a quad with power steering?
