i was looking at the spring compressor on the mudinmyblood website and i want to make one like it. problem is i am offshore and dont have my bike here so i dont know the measurements to make it. could someone tell me what size every part of this tool needs to be please.

The bolt will need to be at least 12" long and its a 2" cap on the end. Hope thats helps.

Atlease 3/8 "allthread needs to be atleast 12"-14" long
2" steel cap with enough cut out of it to get the snap ring off

this help? here's 2 examples . 1st is a phreebsd-made and the second is a SSTOGI-made.
Both patented! :)

yeah , about 14" sounds right. Mine is the one in the second pic and it's a tad too short for installing red springs. The snap ring pliers laying beside it are a goog 8" long I would say so 14" would be a good length.
