just a few notes on how i snorkled my z250. Our area of Florida was flooded by Tropical Storm Fay so I figured I had to snorkle my z250 for my wife, since our Ozark is already snorkled. The two bikes are almost the same, so the general technique works for both. 1) get 1/2 inch thick plastic cutting board and route 1/4 grove for air box ridge. cut and line groove with window/door sealant soft rubber strips. trace and cut lid. cut two 1/8 strips out of wood or plastic to use as shims to keep front of air box pressed down. cut indents into rear of lid for retention clips. 2) position and cut hole for shower drain 90 degree angle fitting. dont cut hole until you see how it looks with the seat on. I had to move hole back so hose would exit properly out the side. there are two shower drain sizes, one 1 1/2 the other slightly smaller. for now i used the smaller one, but i will place the larger one back on. use pool hose with silicon and clamp or radiator hose to exit from lid to bike side. Radiator hose is required for the larger shower drain angle pipe. There's a deflector from the old air box lid (or extra lid if you have one) you can cut off and attach to bottom of plastic cutting board so all intake isnt centered on one spot of the filter. 3) hose extends to above shock mount and use B11875 radiator hose to fit angle up perfectly. 4) I ran a stick, zip tied at bottom to frame, up for the exit tube, pvc 1 1/2 so I wouldnt have to drill holes in the plastic body fenders. I bought a half inch square aluminum tube to use instead of the stick, but thought that too dangerous if flips over. Wood stick will break not jab into driver. Worked great - just use the largest shower drain possible for airflow into air box cover. The atv is now a bonafide swimmer. All this is removable for riding in the dry seasons. Thumbnail Image
