i am about to build a snorkel for my 05 350 rancher and it is going to sit pretty close to the exaust and engine. i was wondering if anyone has had problems with the pvc melting or catching on fire. do i need to put high temp paint on it or put some kind of shield around it.

i had a homemade snorkel on my 420 and it rested on the engine the weird thing is it didnt melt the pipe it actually melted a little bit of the motor but i fixed that
