I just jetted my ac 500m and now i wanted to snorkel it cause im tired of getting water and mud in my airbox and i was wondering if anyone knew exactly what steps i  need to take to keep water from getting in carb, diff, etc...?and is the only place i have to snorkel the air box?help please Thanks

Check the AC tips sticky at the top. It will tell you pretty much everything you want to know.

Yes look at those pix up top, the 500M is one of easyest quad out to snorkel.
there are lots of pictures on how to snorkel 650 autos up there but the air box on your 500 is the same so you can snorkel it just like the 650 if you want to.

you also need to make sure youor gas tank vent and top carb vent are both ran up (they should be in the gauge pod allready) and also plug off youo carb float bolw drain/vent hose or water will go back up it and kil the motor.

Snorkeling a 500 isn't  bad, heck, even I figured it out, LOL.
