i also clipped about 4 coils on the spring as well, both my quads have great throttle response after doing these mods and NO jetting is needed..

It works good, there is no lag it jumps hard when you stab the throttle..

yes 1/8" drill bit, cutting the coils on the spring just helps the slide open even faster. i have 4 cut off mine and it works good for me like this.

its like a whole new four wheeler once i did it today. i can spin my tires forever. i used to be only to spin em for a minute. cant wait to see the difference on the trail

alright so i will clip 4 coils off since that seems like a good number. how many did u cut KQ400, and is the gas mileage get better or worse?

i only cut four of em. i was too scared to go more ha. yea i meant to ask everyone about the gas mileage. how is it once you do it? anybody know.

It wont effect gas mileage any, except for the fact that your hammering it more maybe..lol

Nobody i know has done this, it will make the slide open even faster with a bigger hole ( i would guess), could make the motor stumble if it opens to fast. the new slide is not real cheap is the main reason i dont think anyone has tryed it yet..

To back up what Mudd said above, you can see the mods I have done in my sig, and in 2wd HI (also my bike is an AUTO) I can wheelie my Vinson like it's nobodys business. I have two buddies with Vinsons that are stock and the only wheelies they are doing is in the water that's up over the front racks.

ok one more question and this is it, i was telling my buddy bout this and he has a 2003 kawasaki prarie 360. does anyone know if they are vacum operated because he is going to do it if he can but i have never looked at his carb so idk if it is or not.

so if i do this in addition to the dyno jet kit needle and spring I will have even more throttle response?  I can already wheelie pretty easily!  Im going to do it tonight probably then

Drilling the slide will only make it better IMOP.

just one :note: if your dyno jet kit came with a new spring i would not clip it as it is allready lighter then the stock spring.

yeah thats what i was thinking too.  now i gotta find my 1/8 bit since im so organized haha.  now i should be able to wheelie even easier.  this my be the most fun fourwheeler i have ever owned with the mods i have done to it.  I still like it better than our king
