he needs to run ALL the vent lines up to the gauge pod, also he NEEDS to put dielectric grease in ALL of the electric plugs. and there are a lot of plugs. also an intake snorkel would help as the motor will suck up steam and die out. i have done a daul 1 1/2 snorkel without cutting holes in anything, and if i knew how to post pics i could show you. but if you really want to know everything about a rincon go to

www.rinconridrs.com

you will find everything you everwanted to know about the rincon and make some friends too. you can also find pics of my no cut snorkel there. just look up meatman.     o be sure to vent the water pump.

check th carb lines might be takin in water and put a small screw in the over flow lin that comes outta the bottom of the carb sumtimes water goes up that and goes in the carb and will bog down the fourwheeler  also everytime it does that check the airbox to see if waters gettin in there

i bet those carb line to the throtle body on a fuel injected 4 wheeler are getting water in them.     A guy a ride with had the same problem dielectric grease in all the electrical connections fixed it just a plug getting wet and getting a bad signal

He needs to snorkel the exhaust - putting grease on the plug may help but the exhaust is the likely culprit.

should not have to snorkel the exhuast to have it run in water, mine run under water with no problems at all.
Its more then likely a plug getting wet dielectric grease all the plugs and i bet it fixes it.

(or the carb vent..lol )  yeah yeah  i just had to

exhaust snorkel is not needed but it would not hurt it just HAS to be really tall for when you do a water wheelie or you will sink it

When you go into water deep enough it cools your engine to fast causing alot of steam; then the steam is being sucked into your factory snorkel making your rinny run like crap or die on you...? That is my input

I doubt you could make that much vapor that quickly before the motor is already completey under.

Yes...the steam off of the engine getting sucked into the intake will affect the way the motor runs on a non snorkeled Rincon.

With a little preparation...running deep shouldn't be an issue.
