i have an 07 big bear with i.s. i was just woundering if anybody out their knew how tho get the half shafts out of the diff

Pull on it. It will pop out. If the axle bar is popping out of the inner cv cup, then take a screwdriver and pry between the cup and diff while you're pulling it. If you can get one of them out, take a punch and hammer and knock the other out from inside of the diff. Just a few taps and it should come out.
