there may be your problem you pressure washed you radiator. I did mine once and bent the radiator all up. You need to take it out and check that will be the best thing to do before you over heat your engine and also get stranded

i dont think thats the problem because i looked at it realy good an can only see a couple of fins bent... put it this way i can count the number of fins that or bent on one hand,, but i will try to pull the radiator out this weekend.. an being i have it out an the front all torn down, i may as well relocate it to the front rack... just need to save a little money for the relocation kit.. it just might be awhile before i can get it all back together so i can see if that was the problem.. ANY IDEAS ON THE PROBLEM ANYBODY?????

If your radiator, fan & coolant level is good, That could only leave a few general possibilities. One would be your thermostat, another your water pump, another could be your running too lean which would make the head temp hotter. Maybe put a new thermostat in and see how it does, or you could take it out and put in a pot of hot water on the stove to see if its opening up. Shouldnt be hard to eliminate that.

Follow the radiator hose on the right side of the bike to the engine head. The hose connects to a little housing. Remove the housing & the there is the thermostat. Try not to mess up or lose the o-ring.

Just something to think about.
Antifreeze doesnt transfer heat from the engine to the radiator as efficient as water.
Antifreeze raises the boiling point & lowers the freezing point of the fluid.

If its stuck whether open or close you need to replace it because its not functioning properly. I would think that is your problem.
