Yesterday while riding with a friend, i killed my king quad 700.  I pulled into a water hole and the 4 wheeler died.  My friend pulled me out and I couldnt get it to crank.  When turning over the engine, water was coming from the exhaust.  We turned it up on end and let the rest of the water drain.

I pulled the air filter and it was dry.  So no water went in the intake.  I tired using a little starting fluid and still nothing.  I got it home and tried it again.  It cranked and ran for a minute or so, with some water still coming from the exhaust.  Then it died.  I checked the oil, and decided to drain it anyway.  It was black.  Then I pulled the plug.  It was fouled.

I am getting a new plug today and putting new oil in it.  If it doesn't crank, what should I do next?  I think it was a combination of a fouled plug and it stalling with the exhaust under water.  Of course the exhaust wasnt under water till my buddy pulled up behind me.

Any ideas???  I'd like to get this running today, without taking it to a mechanic.

Well said I would make sure to put dielectric grease on the plug. My friend got water on his plug and it stalled out. We got it to start again but it ran pretty bad.

update....   i changed the plug and oil.  There was no water in the oil.  It cranked and ran fine.  I bought some dielectric grease.  I used it on the spark plug and all the connections under the seat.  What other connections should I apply it to?
