Whats up everyone i have a 97 honda fourtrax that i have been gathering up parts for it to convert it to irs.instead of using the front half of another honda to build my irs i decided on building my own to except the honda front chunk { FOR NOW.I AM PLANNING OWN CHANGING THE CHUNKS OUT LATER FOR BAYOU CHUNKS FOR THE LOWER GEARS.} i was going to use the transfercase in the rear and just flip it to keep from fliping my chunk  but i decided not to go that rought and to just build a drive shaft and flip the chunck.i am also going to put grizzly 660 a-arms,spindels,hubs,rotors,break calipers, etc all the way around it.that way i can have disk breaks in the front.i will also be lifting it to.so if everyone will please wish me luck.ill be posting pictures of the build soon.that is if i can figure out how to post more than one picture at a time.and if anyone could help me own this build please fill free to help.                thanks Bo

It Would but belive it or not the bottom a-arms is the same as the honda except a little longer and the top honda a-arm will fit in the grizzly spindel.i just have to make the honda a-arms longer. and the tie rods are also longer and they fit the honda steering shaft.

Dive  -  if it was me I would use the stock 300 spindles and put a disc brake conversion kit on it because making those grizz a arms bolt up will take longer than making new a arms to fit the original spindles. For the rear I would use either rincon spindles or brute force. Brute forces will be the easiest to work with if this is your first lift. Reason I say that is because the design of the rincon spindle is very tricky and if you build shock mounts and run the spindle at 90* then you bolt the shock up and put weight on it, the top a arm is going to push the spindle outwards making your toe increase alot. The way to fix this is to run HL springs and 2" spacers otherwise you are going to have issues. I hope this helps and good luck

You're ahead of me on my build. I've had too many other projects going on to get started on mine. I keep saying it will get more important to me when the rear finally does let go, but it hasn't yet(well, it is broke, but it's still riding fine).

Since you are planning on building it with a lift, that definitely leaves you open to use whatever spindles you chose. You'll need custom axle shafts no matter how you go about it, so what's it really matter what joints you need. Just use the corresponding hubs to make it fit together w/o needing jumped bearings as well. - Good luck! Keep the pics coming.

you running stock front diff for now right?  be careful with the 29.5's.  the stock diff's are gonna be extremely tested by such a tire.

well you heard wrong yeah it will prolly fit but its set up for a manuel clutch so that part will not work and as far as oil lines it has the same exact set up as the 300 cover just in a differant spot

they sell kits that replace the factory oilfilter cover that have spots for oil lines or just cut the oil line going to the head and run hose off it and then back into the head
