It is easy to fix, just do it yourself or call them and tell them to have the part when you show up and get it done asap, it only takes a few min.

If it takes you more than about 15 minutes you need help! That seal is easier than......well lets just say its easy. It is a fact of life on the brutes. Get a few extra to have on hand. I promise you will need them later.

I def agree with devildog...get yourself quite a few extra ones.  Going to be replacing those seals fairly often.

There is no design flaw... Dirt+rubber+metal=leaky seals. The problem is dirt getting between the shaft and the seal. It acts like lapping compound and just wears the seal and shaft out. It will actually groove the shaft where the seal rides.

Like eating cake......it takes no longer than 15-30minutes. Compress the shaft and pull it out of the seal, drive a wood screw into the seal and pull it out with pliers, dont be shy give it a good yank!, clean area and press new seal in, do not push all the way back, just flush with the engine, insert drive shaft back in and ride it like you stole it.  PM me with any more questions.

I'll tell any of you guys who need this rear seal replaced, I am not very mechanically inclined when it comes to these bikes and It took me all of about 10 minutes to change this seal, so don't waste your time taking it to a stealer, just knock it out yourself. Just follow what devildog12210 said and you will have it. I just pushed one side of the seal in, which pushed the other side out and pulled it out, but each his own. But do it yourself guys, need to get used to it anyways.
Plus, I have done all my mods so far and am quite suprised at how much I am learning and how easy they will be next time.

Alex
