I have an 08 sportsman 500efi.
I did the oil change for the break in period with a new filter.
The polaris oil is pricey stuff.
What kind of cheaper oil can i run?
I dont want the bottom line oil. I want my motor to last. I just dont want to spend 20bucks and oil change.

Personally I stick with OEM lubes for my ride.

Since its so new I would run with Popo brands, however on my 01 500 I run Mobil 1 and WIX filters.

I have a 05 700 Sportsman and I am still running the Polaris Oil in it, JMO I would stick with all the Polaris lubes

Polaris premium plus for this guy. I only run the Polaris fluids, if for no other reason but consistency.

Personally have only use Polaris fluids so far. Next change I plan to use Mobil 1.

Amsoil or Mobil 1 - but your oil change will be more than $20 no matter how you do it - $9/quart of oil plus filter. Your looking at $30-35 per change.

mobile 1 is $6 a quart vs Polaris oil at $9 or $10.. but i use mobile 1 most of the time.

Rotella 15w40 baby.......Ask any repair shop that is NOT a dealer and they will tell you it is a misconception the dealer uses to get more money by trying to use the manufacturing company of the quads oil
