ok, so im putting my skids on & im winching my bike in a tree. all of a sudden the bike shuts off & i try to start it & it wont do anything. i look & it says "no ecm communication" or no ecu communication, i cant remember which now let it sit for 4 or 5 min. & it starts no problem. what in the world is this???????????

Check you battery terminal connections.

specifically the negative terminal... if it starts and then wont idle that most likely your culprit... its funny how a loose positive will do certain things that a loose negative wont and vice versa.

it happened to mine also 2 days after I bought it but the idiot that put the battery in the bike had the positive terminal laid up against the frame and it rubbed thru the boot and shorted the battery out. It never cranked back up though. Check the battery for sure.
