my 400ex is having someproblems latly. the first problem is, it is running wierd. at first it would run well but then if i stopped riding for like 10 minuts or so , when i went to ride more it would sputter and die. if i just started it and let it run for a few minuts without gassing it it would do fine. also, it would do the same sputter and die thing when i didnt have much traction (doing donuts, mud, ect.). it has gotten so bad that on my last ride i couldnt even ride it because i litterly had to let it idle for an hour to go 10 feet. after a while it wouldnt even start. that was about two months ago. every couple of weeks i have been trying to start it and a few days ago it started. i just kind of rode it around the street a little bit to see if it was running fine and it definatly was not. i am going to cleen my carb and if the doesnt work then do you think it needs to be re-jetted? i am not sure if the previus owner ever re jetted it when he put on the aftermarket exaust and i have not been able to contact him. my other problem is that now when i start it and it is nutral not going any where i can gun it but there is a wierd clicking kind of sound coming from the airbox/battery area. and ideas on what it may be?
