Not sure what kinda tool you're talkin about??? What do you mean by standard jetting? Did you buy a Dynojet kit or what?

Okay I gotcha! If you went by the Dynojet specs on the jets then it's probably going to be pretty rich because of your snorkels reducing airflow. For the adjustment I used to have to take my carbs off everytime to adjust the screws on the bottom but now I've got a carb tool with the 90 degree bend on the end of it to make it easier. You kinda have to get creative and make something to work if you don't have a tool.

you are asking for the carb tuning screw driver. that motion pro sells. for asjusting the pilot screws when on the machine.

first did you remove the brass plugs from the carbs, second did you adjust them to DJ's specs for a base line.

next you need the 90 deg driver you adjust the screws by turning the handle witch turns the head with a cable inside the driver.

check out motion pro, for carb tools.

Ebay has them for around $25-$35. That's where I got mine and it's a motion pro I think. Do you know how to read your plugs to see if it's lean or rich?

Speedy did you ever have trouble with it at all? I know sometimes when I use mine I can't tell if it's turn the screw or not.

its a real pain in tight spots. I make small adjustments at a time, untill the rpms raise then i keep turning out until the rpms drop. then i go back 1/4 turn. also if you have a tach turn up your idle to 1800 rpms thats best place to make the adjsutments for the slow speed pilot screw setting.

anything over 3.5 turns out then you need a larger pilot jet. if your at near 1 turn out you need a smaller pilot jet.

my rule of thumb is 2 - 3 turns out if anymore or less i look into a diffrent size pilot jet.

also on these v-twin not having the carbs synced in will make them idle funky also.
