i am trying to get my fourwheeler ready, so i can just install the lift as soon as it comes in, and i got a few questions.

1. how long does it take to install this lift?

2. how hard is this lift to install?

3. are the axle nuts, on the spindle always harder than **** to get off?

4. is there a secret to anything "tearing it down or the lift install"

5. should i remove the stock brake lines? or does this lift kit just come with something to extend the stock brake lines?

Its not hard, just takes time.  Id say 4 hours depending on how easy the axles come out.  You also have to bleed the brakes and adjust the tie rods.

Yea the spindle nuts are going to be hard to get of without an impact or a tool to hold the hub still so it doesn't spin.

No real secrets, just time consuming.

It comes with completely new brake lines.

im still screwing with these axle nuts, i had a three and a half foot breaker bar, and still couldnt break them loose with all my weight on it, and im no little guy. im afraid i am going to screw up the spindle as i am putting a tire tool in the spindle to keep it from turning and its aluminum.

im gonna try a pipe wrench on the axle bar. ya think that will work or is it a bad idea?

im thinking im going to have to put some heat to it today to see if it will help.

im kinda affraid putting heat to it will mess something up "any plastic or rubber seals in spindle/hub etc" does anyone know about this?

does anyone know did arctic cat use threadlock on these?

how are you all getting these freakin things off? theyre killing me, and it doesnt help that it is hotter than heck out side, i can only stay outside for a while then i gotta go in and get a drink and cool off, its a pain. its 100 degrees outside and feels like 120 in the garage, but it cooled off today so maybe i can get more done.

well i got an impact, but it sucks, it will barely take off lugnuts so there is no way it will touch these.

We had the same problem with my buddys '07..There was some type of thread lock on the nuts and my impact would not break it loose. To get it broken loose we took a torch and heated the nut up, and then started hammering on it with a impact.  Good luck with it!

Yea ive always had problems with my spindle nutts i sprayed pb blaster on it to help but i tryed using a 4 foot breaker bar to hold the axle from spinning and it bent the bar but i got it off eventually with using a big racket and big impact gun you just have to keep working it and not giving up .

My advise would be to heat it up just enough to melt the loctite then get on it with the breaker bar. Dont heat it up glowing red but just enough to heat the loctite.

tried heat and it got me nowhere, however  a good ole 3 pound sledge and chisel point punch did the trick. however i would have to say the threads are fubared.

thats what i call the point of no return!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just because i know someone will ask,

fubared = past tense of fubar

fubar = abbreviation for F'ed up beyond all recognition

well i puttin the lift on it took me and a buddy 8 hours to put my 6" monkey lift on cause it took 2hrs to get the ball joints in they was just a pain in the rear. and also they didnt send to directions either so that didnt help. but just take your time and make sure it all there and done right cause remember who you are representing.... TEAM AC. lol.

i had a 6 foot cheater bar to break mine lose with a 3/4 racket on the end. so mine wasnt that hard to get the nuts off.

The best thing to do with teh a arms before installing the ball joints is clean the powder coat out of the hole with a die grinder.
