ok yall, I need some help with limewire... it wont let me connect and is showing that its detecting a firewall. but i have turned the windows firewall off and my computer does not have any other virus system... please help me.

okay. make sure your firewall is off. right click limewire and exit it. wait a little bit and run the program agian. if its still detecting a firewall make sure you turned it off completely and not temp. let me know if this works

negative, I have tried this several times. i have took limewire off my computer, then redownloaded it... and the firewall is completely off. i turned it off under admin so it turned if off on the whole computer. whats next?

computers can easily have 3 or more firewalls. Make sure they are all off.

What version of windows are you running, are you on your own private home network, or a network at a business or school, or other type of public network? Let me know and I have a few things that may help ya.

Its your router, sounds like your connected to a router with a built in firewall. Try connecting to your cable modem directly when you wanna dl pr0n on limewire :) If your not on a router, reinstall limewire. If you have no router and you have no windows firewall/other program firewall there is ABSOLUTELY no reason it shouldn't work.
