Status: offline 		i got the viper 3000. It burned up day one of having it on my bike. I sent moto a email, they got back with me very quick. i then mailed it off to them. they got it on the 8-4-08. Good service is great, but if the winch burns up on the trail, not worth having...
Not trying to talk bad about them, but when it comes in i will put it back on my bike.

Status: offline 		i'd say you are a extreme case. I've owned several and know others that have them and they are fine.

Peace of mind is everything.  You'll do what you've got to do.  Your results are not typical however.  If it were me, I'd have more faith in it now that it's recieved a careful and knowledgable eye instead of just being thrown together and shipped.  Any winch can and will fail.  You won't find any brand that didn't have a DOA shipment at some point in time.

Status: offline 		this is my first one and it has been very reliable and trustworthy. but hey just think if they didnt have that good customer service. and also when something is mass produced something is goin to get overlooked or something like that at some point in time. nothings perfect. well i hope you luck this time.

Status: offline 		I have beat the living daylights out of my Viper Max 3000 and it still works like a champ. And I protected the contactor box the best I could. I slapped a decent amount of diaelectric grease on it.
