probably not a very popular style here being that the name of this forum is HIGHLIFTER, but this was my dad's truck and he gave it to me. since its 2wd, i of course.. put it on the ground  also added and removed a few things. it's an 03 regular cab stepside silverado, 4.8l v8

it looks really high in these pictures to me, but i really cant go a day without draggin on stuff

mcgaughy's 4/6 drop, + 2" shackles in the rear so 4/8
ss bumper
speed grill inserts
cleard headlights
colormatched keyless handles
debadged
22" incubus game wheels 265/35 tires
snugtop bedcover
bedrug
shaved tailgate handle and cap
painted rear bumper
35% tint on windshiled, 15% on the sides, 5% on the rear
K&N drop in filter
no catalytic converters
magnaflow 14x4x9 dumped at the rear bumper
tuned by justin @ blackbear performance
memphis m3 10" sub, custom ported box tuned to 35hz
infinity door speakers, pioneer premier headunit
500W memphis d class on the sub, 320 watt kenwood 4channel on the doors and b pillars
infinity door speakers, kenwood tweeters
escort passport 8500 radar detector

i think thats about it

Do i need to say it? BAG It

i'd like to, but honestly i wont want to maintenance that comes along with having a reliable bagged truck. draining tanks, water traps, checking linkage bolts, changing engine driven compressor oil, etc. i do get asked if its bagged all the time, i guess becuase it sits cali lean and tucks some back tire

i am just wanting to finish up the body (06 hood and grill shell) lower the front another inch then start on some interior. after that will be transmission, engine and rearend.

Looks great man. I wouldn't take the front down anymore. Looks good the way it is. Too bad it's only a 4.8, looks like it would launch. I'd hunt for a 5.3 or even a 6.0, both will bolt up, then stick some 4.10's in it!! it would be a BEAST!!

i kinda like the cali lean too. it does ok for a 4.8 i made two passes on the 1/8th mile dragstrip in seven points tx the other night and ran a 10.3. i know they'll bolt up pretty easy, but that's not the hard part. my transmission would take a dump pretty quick and i need some sort of limited slip. i'm going to have it built first with a nice stall, shift kit, heavy duty valves etc. then worry about the 6.0

i like my gas milage too much to do 4.10s i drive to Texas too often for all that. a friend of mine had a cam, ported/polished stsock heads, bolt ons, 4.10s, limited slip etc etc in his 06 reg cab 5.3 and it hauled ****. ran 12.5 in the 1/4.

Nice truck, Im not into lowriders but I love that color.

You should look into a rear roll pan, it would look GREAT on that lil stepside.

Then some $12 autozone chrome handle covers.

Id pick up the rear 1-1.5" or drop the front that much to even it out as well.

Im a member of FSC, GMtruck, Truck forums.  if you arent, I think you should try one.

thanks, i love the color when its clean. but i hate it after the rain, looks like crap real quick. i'd like a rollpan but i need a bumper for protection, and i pull a trailer. not to mention how easy it would be to crack where the pan is molded in because my bed sides aren't steel and it couldnt be welded up

no thanks on the chrome handles. i hate stick on accessories, makes the truck look like it came out of a lund catalog

im not an FSC kinda guy, but i do love GMfullsize. i have about 6200 posts over there, been on it for a long time.

Dang man, thats a clean truck!!!

I still have my stock 3.42s and hoping to hit a high 11 come November :D
You dont need the low gears if you want it to move on down the track.

But if you are lookin into making it go fast, check out the Trick Front mount or the KBracing96 Front mount on Performancetrucks.net..

Im sure you know a good bit about these trucks, since you got a good post number on GMFS.. :)

Keep that truck clean! haha

id say you get a roll pan and get the flip down licence plate bracket with the hidden hitch behind it then you can still tow but have a clean truck when not

i always have thought of having my jacked up truck and getting a regular bed short bed truck like your and having it droped but i cant seem to finish the truck i have now

yeah it was ok, not wild enough for me. i'm fixing to be going for a more factory, sporty look sooner or later with a stock 06 SS front end, no billet inserts. the wheels are on my dads truck now. you can see it in the above pictures.
