I hate to say it but I had that EXACT same set up and mine did the very same thing. I went to the pyle marine speakers and the pyramid 240watt amp. It isnt as loud believe it or not but I havent had anymore trouble either. I never did find out why it quit working. It now just sits in a box in my garage.

my amp like urs did the same thing.  i had a lil water get in and it was playin the last time i used it. i took it apart to get the water out and when i hooked it all back up, no sound.  the light was comin on sayin it had power and everything.  so i went and bought a new amp, and problem solved.  oh and i did replace the speakers cause thats how the water got it.

I had one of the cheapy auto zone amps and it was doing the same thing.  What actually happened is soldered joints inside that are part of the RCA plugs got messed up and were all coming loose from riding.  Nothing I could do so I trahsed it and bought another one.
