...have you opened the air box? i haven't yet & don't go home during the work week. i'm wondering if the mudpro air box has the drain holes in it. i think if it did that would be very dumb & defeat the purpose of the snorks. i could assume but i'm sure we all know what that really spells. i remember reading a topic about the mudpro that there was water in the air box.

the bike that had water in the air box had the snorkel go under water on it . if we are thinking abouot the same one, one of them from Mud Creek.

while I don't know if the mud pro air boxes are different, most of the ACs do have a duckbill or two in the airbox. The majority of the duckbills work as they are supposed to. I have heard of some leaking, but I've never had any issues with them leaking personally. If the bike is running, the suction should keep them closed. Since my airbox has a drain/check, and the crankcase vent is to the top of the box, I siliconed the duckbills b/c it was easy to check and I had no need from them. The duckbills are designed to allow any water that gets in the box to drain out. Obviously if you fill up the box with water, the duck bills won't matter anyway.

My recommendatoins would be this:  If you have a check bubble, and a raised crankcase vent, I'd go ahead and silicone the duck bills. If not, leave them open, but check them first before getting too deep in the water. You can visually notice a duckbill that will leak for sure. these will not have a nice slat with very minimal daylight inbetween. If you see a duckbill that has lots of daylight, consider replacing or adding silicone.

That is one thing i changed on mine, my crank case hose is 10' long and wraps around my air box a few times and then has two other loops in it as well, i also did this to my gas tank vent and top carb vent with the hopes if i flip it the water wont make it threw the loops and wont ruin/milk my oil.
If it goes as planed i should only have to drian my snorkel/air system and cylinder and be able to fire it back up and go.. Iam sure one day i will be trying this idea out...lol

GWC has the right idea, the only thing that can give you problems with doing that is condensation in the hoses. Usually its not too much, but what can happen is condensation will build up and settle in the loops, then all at once get sucked into the carb, gas tank or what not. This does not usually apply to the crankcase vent as it will usually push the moisture in and out so you won't have buildups

yup. I noticed that one tonight. Tore mine down to inspect a coolant line. That line in particular was not very tight(hoseclamp). I took my airbox out and noticed the hole.  wandering what it was I looked back into my bike and saw the hose...have make sure I put it back together tight...

okay so i'm a lil confused. my bike is snorkeled, i siliconed the drain holes in the air box, & i even run a lil bead of silicone around the air box lid (not a whole lot. just enuff to ensure a seal. the lid is easy to remove & the silicone comes right off in one peice.). do i need to do anyhting extra w/the crankcase vent?? i put a pre-filter over the intake side that'll stop grit from going in should something bad happen. water might make it in but that'd be the worst of it.

shouldn't, just make sure the hose clamp is on good. Mine wasn't, my box just slipped right out. I didn't even realize there was another hose that was supposed to be "clamped" on...
