while I don't know if the mud pro air boxes are different, most of the ACs do have a duckbill or two in the airbox. The majority of the duckbills work as they are supposed to. I have heard of some leaking, but I've never had any issues with them leaking personally. If the bike is running, the suction should keep them closed. Since my airbox has a drain/check, and the crankcase vent is to the top of the box, I siliconed the duckbills b/c it was easy to check and I had no need from them. The duckbills are designed to allow any water that gets in the box to drain out. Obviously if you fill up the box with water, the duck bills won't matter anyway. My recommendatoins would be this: If you have a check bubble, and a raised crankcase vent, I'd go ahead and silicone the duck bills. If not, leave them open, but check them first before getting too deep in the water. You can visually notice a duckbill that will leak for sure. these will not have a nice slat with very minimal daylight inbetween. If you see a duckbill that has lots of daylight, consider replacing or adding silicone.
