okay im bringing my baby (see below) to finally get snorkeled. now before i get the "do it yourself"...im not. i dont care if its easy blah blah blah. he's my local mechanic, and i want intake, lines, exhaust (just welded extended pipe), snorkeled. how much would be a reasonble amount to pay. if any more info is needed, shoot. thanks in advance.

also i saw these "lockers" for sale on here for like 30 something bucks for the 300, will these do the same as the gearless lockers for hundreds more?

highlifter spool locker makes it hard to steer no matter what and wears parts out faster, dgr makes it easier to steer when combined with 4-2-4 it feels like factory 2x4. but put it in 4x4 and it will pull.

i have $35 in my intake and vent lines and another $30 in my exhaust, it is REALLLLLYYYYYY simple to do on the 300. just pull your tank off with the one bolt, undo your factory intake and slide it out, slide in a piece of 1.25 and and adapter to 1.5 over that and then either go straight forewrd and up and cut a hole and secure with threaded pipe fittings or get a 22.58 and go to the fender, get another 22.5* and go up to a 45* and over to the front rack and 90* to a threaded fitting and up as tall as you want

as for exhaust, go to autozone and buy a larger 90* of the size you want and a straight piece of the size you want, i got mine with a 35* angle on it

vent lines- follow the lines and either replace or extend them to desired length

This is the easiest and cheapest snork you can come up with,,,, and no re-jetting of the carb,,,, bout $20 worth of material from Home Depot and a couple hours of time ,,,, and I've never had to do the exhaust,,, found out if you left the oem exhaust on the bike it did fine in the water,,,,,

I agree it is cheaper to do it yourself, but you should be looking at around 2-300 dollars to fabricate and install a snorkle. then if you want the carb tuned, the going rate around here is about 250 for a tune. either way you do it I would reccomend the carb tune since you are planning on altering the air flow so much with the intake/exhaust snorkle.

If you do it yourself you will save a ton of money but instead of having someone fabricate one why don't you look into buying a bolt on kit and installing it yourself, that way you don't have to deal with rounding up the parts but you won't have to pay labor leaving you with some money for other things. Extreme Snorkles makes one for the 300, and I'm sure there is someone else Bayou or Triangle maybe.

True but with just a airbox snorkel you'll be alot better off - exhaust snorkels are NOT needed

I would help you to build a intake snorkel for free as long as you buy the materials.  I just like doing it.  do you want to cut plastic?
