I haven't had mine on a lot of asphalt but I have heard that they wear very well even on asphalt.  Mine have been on for several months and are showing virtually no wear even after some pretty brutal trails.  Go ahead and get the MST's. You WILL NOT regret it.

I love my MST's. They aren't as aggressive as the outlaws but they do hold their own in the mud. I can honestly say that I have been through everything that an outlaw has been through. I may have had to work it a little more but I made it through.

They handle very well on the trails in soft sand and hard pack. I've ridden around my neighborhood on asphalt quite a bit and have only seen minimal wear. Most of the time riding in the neighborhood has been after a mod or adjustment and I was on it pretty hard. Only a small amount of wear is visible on the leading edges due to tire spin on the asphalt. You will not be disappointed!

On my 800 i have this switch that unlocks the diffs it's called turf mode it lets the outside tires turn faster than inside i tried it on a secondary highway at high speed yesterday and it actually works great i think it will take longer to wear the tires with that on when driving on ashfalt plus i thin i gained a bit more top end speed and it was way easier to turn into corners. And i have 27' MST's on the way yippie lol!

Do 28" MSTs come on a 14" rim I have to run 14" rims on my prowler. I stuck between 28" MSTs and 28" Zillas I know that 28" Zillas come on a 14" rim, so if MSTs don't I guess it will not be hard to decide.
