does anybody know how the mst's would do in clay mud?  i dont usually ride in it but when i do my stockers pack up. i usually ride in like a water/mud mixture.

i've been up and down many creeks with mine, they pull great!  be careful on the rocks though, I got a nice tear and a pucture in by back right from the creek bottom....but a great tire!!  (heavy)

I wish someone would chime in on this, as I am wondering the same thing.  I hunt in MS and the whole lease is red clay, and stockers don't cut it, and I am looking to get tires for my new ride.

MST's don't come in 14" Holes?  What are the options at 14" for mud and trail tires.

They do decent, but I would suspect there are similar tires that perform better in clay mud. Seems like there's not quite enough spacing between the lugs for them to clean out well. The lugs being close together like they are allows the mud to pack in between the lugs and stick there. I imagine with enough wheel speed they would clean out, but I don't like to get that much speed due to a fear of broken parts. Now if it's only occasionally that you ride in thick clay and you want a good all-around tire I would got with the MST, but as for clay all the time I would choose another tire.
Tires like mud bugs  have a wider spacing that would let the mud fall of rather than be packed between the lugs.
