I'm looking to maximize potential in a stock-bore (mud) race application.  I know several of you guys have found a piston/cam setup that is running like a scalded dog.  I'm looking to do cams and pistons only at this point.  Perhaps some throttle body modification if there is a gain to be had there.  So, who wants to let me in on the secret?!?  Of course, I will be doing alot more research before I do it, but just trying to get on the same page with everyone here on what works and what is a waste of time.

And no, it isn't my bike.  It is WillE's 800, but I will be doing all the work on it..

lol...well, this has accomplished my initial goal.  Now I just have to build it!

I'm still wanting to get a few more mph topend in low range out of the clutches.  Gotta have that "little extra" that we were missing this weekend against some of the more competitive bikes

lol...I wouldn't be giving away any hints either if I were you!  Our group is about to bring the heat!  I believe you already felt it a few times this past weekend from these guys while they were losing their pit virginity!  I felt like we were decently prepared at Mudrally but will be cutting edge by Mudfest!

LOL, yeah Mark...I hear you!

Can't wait to do some more racing!  While we may get beat, next time we will not be out-biked!!

If you are running the stock head pipe with a slip on exhaust, Grind the weld on the inside of the pipe that is welded to the flange..  This mod, along with a bored throttle body is good for 3-4hp at the wheels.

These are all assumptions, nobody but the MudNutZ will know the truth.  It is up to the officials of each race series to determine who is cheating and who is not.  Not the forums.

There is alot more to the MudNutZ game plan than engine mods.  They have countless hours of R&D in their bike setups from the ground up.  I'm sure some of the other guys on here can vouch that you don't just build an engine and become competitive in our sport.  It is alot more than a HP battle.

You can all do whatever mods you want as long as you don't get caught by the officials.  I don't care if everyone out there knows, if the officials don't lay the law down then its all fair game.  This is the first season and blind spots within the rules have been found.  I'm sure they will learn from this season and hopefully take the corrective actions to elminate the gaps in the rules.  Ultimately, it's all up to the officials.

This sport is alot of fun.  I enjoy racing with all of you.
Everybody watch out, DK's worked up!!!

^^^ sounds pretty normal for any competition.  when i was trained as an IASCA judge (car stereo competition), the first thing they told us was that it was the competitors job to exploit the rules and in many cases purposefully break them but not make it obvious.  and it was our job as judges to find these loop holes and catch the cheating.  that's why the rule book gets updated at least once a year.  hats off to the competitors who can bend or break the rules and get away with it.  if the judges/officials are worth a darn, then its not an easy task

Drill holes in the crank to make it lighter. Then drill a hole about 7/8" in the middle of the piston helps it build compression. Then pour gas on all of the bearings it makes them spin faster. Then if you feelin real froggie drill several hole in the rod and leave the circlips out of the piston. Weight reducion wins races.

people do NOT  do this mod its a joke

Havent tried it yet but hey it will take a miracle to make a Honda win.

I for one think it is funny to hear all the things everyone has to say about us. I guess it makes us more popular. Here is a hint everyone, Adam doesn't work on the bikes. If you all would like to know about the bikes that Adam rides, ask my Uncle Steve next time you see him. Im sure he wouldn't mind answering your questions.

I give the Mudnutz mad credit!  When your on top, your on top!  That's all there is to it.  It makes life way more interesting for the guys playing catch up!  I like to get into the smack talking...probably more than the next guy, although my role here frequently disallows it.  There's no such thing as cheating with the way these rules are currently setup...

The fact of the matter is that at this point in time I really don't even have a dog in the fight.  Just two bikes that I built/am building.  I guess you'd say at this point that I'm living the dream through my buddies on the two bikes.  LOL, Im like the dad trying to turn his kid into a professional athlete...At any rate, we haven't even scratched the surface of possibilities within this sport.  NONE of us.  Its going to be a long road that is just getting started.  At this point, I have a million dollar mind and a 10 cent pocketbook.

That said, I can't wait to see some of you guys at Mudfest this weekend and wish luck to those of you that will be in Tx.  I'm excited!  Should be a gooood bit more prepared now than we were @ Mudrally, where we were very competitive overall albeit just a bit behind the Mudnutz...

It may just be my raising so yall can blame that on my mom and dad but there is a thing called morals!  How much respect will be lost for those who do get caught cheating next year when the new rules are in place? JMO
